We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual with an advanced degree in electrical, computer or mechatronics engineering to join us as a Patent Agent or Patent Agent Trainee. The ideal candidate will either be a registered Chinese Patent Agent with some experience in patent drafting and prosecution, or an engineer looking to become a patent agent, with a strong understanding of electrical and high-tech fields and an aptitude for learning new technologies. This position is based out of Intebright’s Shanghai office, where the candidate will be able to take advantage of our permanent hybrid workplace model.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, and/or Ph.D. degree in Electrical, Computer or Mechatronics Engineering or similar education
- Registered Chinese Patent Agent with the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) in good standing (preferred)
- Relevant experience in patent drafting and prosecution in a law firm context or in-house IP group (preferred)
- Fluent in English
- Client-oriented and results-driven, able to work well in fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented, yet practical and business minded
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective time management skills
- High level of motivation, commitment, and leadership
