ZHENHUA WU
As a partner of INTEBRIGHT LLP, Ms. Wu has ten years of hands-on technical experience in the semiconductor industry and more than a decade of experience in patent practice. She focuses on patent prosecution, portfolio strategy, and dispute resolution in complex technology areas, including semiconductors and integrated circuits, telecommunications, software, and algorithms. Her professional practice has obtained high value from several leading companies in the telecommunications, internet, and semiconductors by being appointed as chief attorney for the cases from those clients.
Before entering intellectual property practice, Ms. Wu spent ten years with a prominent integrated circuit manufacturer, where she worked in process integration and technical support. She has comprehensive industry experience spanning semiconductor devices, manufacturing processes, testing, and failure analysis. Her extensive engineering background enables her to quickly understand the technical language and context of R&D teams, analyze complex technologies from the perspective of practical industrial implementation, and identify innovations that genuinely warrant patent protection.
Since entering patent practice, Ms. Wu has handled patent matters extensively in the telecommunications, software, and semiconductor sectors. She has prosecuted over 1,000 patent applications, and reexaminations. She is particularly skilled at deconstructing complex technologies, identifying core innovations, and developing multi-tiered claim structures. She has developed a “closed-loop patent logic” methodology that aligns technical problems, technical solutions, technical effects, and the scope of patent protection into a coherent whole.
Ms. Wu works closely with corporate R&D teams on invention harvesting and patentability analysis. Her practice spans a wide range of technical fields, including semiconductor manufacturing, telecommunications, software and algorithms, image sensors, power semiconductors, and autonomous driving.
Ms. Wu also has extensive experience in patent litigations, representing domestic and international clients before the courts. Her dispute resolution experience informs her approach to patent prosecution and portfolio strategy: she considers not only whether a patent can be granted, but also the long-term stability of patent rights, scope for claim interpretation, and enforceability when assessing the quality of patent applications and portfolios.
